New Day Publishers and Power Books invite readers to rediscover the old way of pursuing success without compromising your life with the launch of “Sorry to Burst Your Bubble,” a book by Yay Padua-Olmedo on May 16, 4 pm, at Power Books Greenbelt 4, Makati City.
The 11-part, 80-page inspirational book subtitled, “Life Leadership Lessons from the Greatest Dreamer,” targets young professionals, college students, and those who may still clueless about their life’s purpose.
“I’ve witnessed how a lot of young people took their lives for granted. I’ve also seen how supposedly successful corporate honchos failed miserably in their relations, inspite of having reached the top. This book is an attempt to establish the foundation for real success,” Olmedo says.
The author dug deep into the life of Joseph based on the biblical book of Genesis, and juxtaposed his life lessons against modern-day situations.
Familiar with the lingo of the young, she doesn’t mince words but goes straight to the point, making the book an easy yet engrossing read.
Ray An Fuentes, evangelist and teacher, original member of the New Minstrels, describes the book as, “Fast-paced… direct to the point… loaded with precious insights and nuggets of wisdom. Someone should have written this when I was growing up—I wouldn’t have messed as much. Anyone, not just the young people of today, would definitely benefit from the truths written in this book. Meditated and applied, it would help us miss the mess in life. Great read!”
Olmedo teaches marketing, advertising and public relations at Southville Foreign University, does marketing communication consulting, conducts seminars for companies, and contributes to Food Magazine. She also served as vice president of corporate communication of a food conglomerate.
The book is available in National Bookstore, Power Books, and other leading bookstores nationwide. For more information on the book, call 928-8046, 927-5982 or e-mail sales@newdaypublishers.com.
